This time of year can be challenging. So many expectations and obligations. How you holding up?! • • This year, @markzgodbolt and I decided to only do what we truly #wanted to do for the holidays. That includes seeing family but not choosing to do “all the things” because our #peace is sacred. Simply driving all over to visit with folks can be overwhelming. As someone who grew up in a #military #blendedfamily - I’ve been doing that my whole life! • • In past years, it was easy to hop around to all the holiday functions but add in #kids and a #pandemic - the stakes are different now. • • To be REALLY okay with how you choose to do the #holidayseason despite what ANYONE says is so important. You REALLY have a choice. Don’t let expectations others place on you, have you operating out of a place of #fear (#peoplepleasing!) and not #love. There’s a difference! • • How do you know if you’re operating out of #fear and not #love? If the result of you doing what you want to do - makes you feel #afraid of how people will respond; that’s operating out of a spirit of #fear! And that ain’t how you wanna live. Choose LOVE!
