Wash day as a straight natural! Here’s everything I used for the best silkpress I’ve gotten in a long time! All products, including blow dryer and flat iron, linked. Step 1: Wash and condition with Cecred. Step 2: Perform Cecred’s 2-step rice water treatment. Step 3: Dry excess water with a microfiber hair towel. Step 4: Apply Super Skinny Serum. I divided my hair in 2 sections and put a pump on each. Step 5: Section hair in smaller sections and apply Miracle Leave-In, followed by Blow Dry Spray, before blow drying each section. I used a combination of Dyson’s Firm Smoothing Brush + Large Round Volumizing Brush. Step 6: Divide hair in 4 and spray each section with Tresemme Heat Protector. Step 7: Straighten hair in small sections using the comb chase method. Step 8: Finish with oil a very little bit of oil. Seems like a lot of products, but they worked seamlessly to protect my hair from heat and provide a smooth finish without weighing my hair down or making it look greasy. This was my first time using Super Skinny Serum and I will no longer go without it! It came highly recommended from TikTok. Kenra’s Blow Dry Spray smells amazing! Background: I wore sew-ins, faux locs, and boho braids over the course of a year and a half to grow my hair after a hair cut following damage from a bad flat iron and tape ins. Sew-ins are my go to for hair growth. Now that my hair is the length I want, I’m back to wearing solely my hair. Problem is my hair is no longer heat trained due to being mostly braided in protective styles. Now I’m rediscovering what it means to be a straightnatural and learning how to manage and style my hair.
