This is the comfort meal my kids request most — simple ingredients, slow-stirred, and always creamy. Served best in this Walmart warming pot.

Ingredients:
• 4 TBSP all-purpose flour
• 4 TBSP butter
• 1 tsp salt
• ½ tsp dry mustard
• 3½ cups milk
• 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
• 16 oz elbow noodles

Directions:
1️⃣ Melt butter, then stir in flour, salt, and dry mustard until a paste forms.
2️⃣ Slowly add milk over low-medium heat, stirring constantly. Add just enough milk to loosen the paste before adding more. Sauce should thicken to a yogurt-like consistency (this takes time — be patient).
3️⃣ While the sauce cooks, boil noodles until tender.
4️⃣ Once all milk is added and sauce is creamy, stir in cheese until smooth.
5️⃣ Pour cheese sauce over drained noodles and stir to combine.
6️⃣ Add extra salt if needed and serve warm.
