Obsessed with these pants. They’re super comfortable are super comfortable and very light weight. I like them most because although they are loungewear, they look so elevated so you can still feel put together. Plus, they are basically wrinkle resistant, which is just the cherry on top. 10/10!

I thought this colorful sweater tank was cute for pride month, but since it’s still so chilly in Pittsburgh, I had to pair it with this lightweight utility jacket.

Also, I had been searching for the perfect straight leg jeans with just a little distressing, so I was thrilled when I finally found the pair I’m wearing in the photo. They are exactly what I was looking for and they’re also super comfy.

I’ll be honest, this dress was a little outside my comfort zone. Mostly because it’s pretty trendy, but I thought it would work well for a spring wedding.

I was SHOCKED by the amount of DMs I got asking for details after posting these photos to my instagram story. Unfortunately, by the time the wedding rolled around, the dress was already sold out in all sizes.

Buuut, it’s your lucky day! It appears they’ve restocked this dress in both the xs and small sizes today. (I’m wearing the xs.) If you like this dress, jump on it before it sells out again. I doubt they will restock sizes twice.

A few weeks ago when I got home from a trip to Boston, I found that my smoke alarms were chirping. (I have 3.) They are hard wired, and usually when you change one battery, you have to change them all. I assumed the chirping was a battery issue, so I swapped them out for new…but the chirping continued. I came to realize, it wasn’t a battery issue, it was a product issue. Apparently smoke alarms need replaced about every 8 years. We build this house 8 years ago, so it makes sense.

I hated the ugly smoke alarms that the builder added to each floor. And I hated having to fan the one near the kitchen incessantly anytime it thought something in the oven was burning. (Even was it wasn’t.) So, I did my research to find a better system.

I ended up going with nest. We have a nest thermostat, so this made sense. I love that you can just hit a button on your app if your oven sets it off, rather than stand under it waving a towel viciously.

I also love that I’ll het a notification if something is burning when I’m not home.

Lastly, I love that it lights up at night when you walk under it.

I bought 3, one for each floor, and I’m so glad I did!

(*They also are a carbon monoxide detector, in addition to just smoke.)

Slowly starting to link all the items I’ve purchased for my new living room.

Since you can only link so many items per post, I’m making separate posts for each corner-ish of the room.

The bookshelf is a work in progress. I may be eliminating items and adding fresh items as I find more unique pieces (from travels), but this is what we are working with for the time being.

The only thing linked that isn’t an exact match is the dachshund statue. It’s a little bit older and Pottery Barn no longer carries it, but I did link a similar one that they do currently have in stock.

As some of you may now, I have my treadmill set up in my garage. I live on the East Coast and unfortunately our winters here in Pennsylvania can get pretty cold.

It’s hard to find the motivation to work out sometimes, but it’s especially hard when you know you have to head into a freezing cold garage to do it.

In winter’s past, I had a small space heater I’d turn on before working out, but it never really did much.

This year, I didn’t want to use being cold as an excuse to not hop on the treadmill so I decided to research wall mounted heaters and opposed to wasting my time with tiny floor space heaters.

I stumbled upon this one on Amazon. It got good reviews and had a super reasonable price tag.

I can confidently say, this heater is AMAZING. It makes all the difference in the world. Normally the garage is about 40 degrees during the cold winter months. Sometimes lower. But as you can see in this video/photo, the heater’s gauge shows a reading between 67° and 68°.

If you’re in the market for a wall mounted heater to help keep your garage warm, or any other area of your home, for that matter, definitely put this one in the running. It’s been a lifesaver.

(It also comes with a remote Bluetooth technology. You can even link it to your Alexa or Siri.)

Cubes just don’t do it for me.

I couldn’t decide on a nugget ice maker, so I decided to buy these ice cube trays for now. Honestly though, these perfect little balls are so much cuter than nuggets. I may just stick with these trays and save myself the money.

Happy Halloween!

A lot of folks asked me how I stayed warm on such a chilly day last Sunday in Salem…

The answer? Fleece lined tights! I was shocked by how many people didn’t know they existed! They are made to look like it’s your skin under the first shear layer, but really, it’s the nude fleece lining you’re seeing. And from someone who is almost always freezing, these really did keep me warm. Much warmer than I expected, honestly. The fact that they are as sturdy as they are is also nice. I know I’ll be getting a lot of use out of this pair.

The only size options available when I ordered were medium and large. I ordered the medium and they honestly fit fine.

But the fleece lined tights are the real necessity here. :)

Red light therapy is all the rage right now. I’ve been debating pulling the trigger on an LED mask for quite a while, but since they can be quite pricey, I wanted to make sure I chose the right one.

Now that I’m 42, I figured it was finally time I pull the trigger. After much research and reading so many reviews, I decided on the iRestore Illumina mask. It was a little more expensive than say, the Omnilux, but the iRestore offers BOTH red and blue light therapy in one mask, where as, with the omnilux, you’d have to purchase 2 separate masks if you wanted both benefits.

I don’t suffer from acne or even a lot of breakouts, so I’ve been lucky, but as I’m aging, my hormones are naturally changing, so I have started to notice the occasional blemish, so I do think the blue light therapy will come in handy.

Here’s hoping my new toy helps me age more gracefully or at least helps to protect me again a pimple here and there!

I feel like cute, old fashioned, blanket on the ground picnics are a lost art. This is the year I bring ‘em back. Whether you want to plan one as a romantic date or just something fun to do with a couple girlfriends, I think picnics are an incredibly adorable and creative way to spend an afternoon.

I’ve been pining over these jeans since the first time I laid eyes on them about a year ago on Anthro’s website, but they sold out before I could snag them. Since then, I’ve consistently checked to see if they’ve come back in stock AND THEY FINALLY HAVE. You better believe I scooped them up immediately. I wasn’t missing out on these twice.

They’re super comfy and also very soft. I’d definitely say these are more of a spring/summer/fall jean and probably not so much winter since they are a bit cropped, but I absolutely love them.

I’m so glad I decided to invest in some new denim shorts for my trip to Denver. I don’t wear jeans shorts often, but they were certainly needed to the 98° temps.

I always struggle to find Jean shorts that I like, are also age appropriate, and won’t break the bank. I ended up buying several pairs at American Eagle. I was shocked. I don’t typically shop there, but I was pleasantly surprised by how well their shorts fit and how reasonably priced they were.
