How I keep my outdoor planters alive (even without a green thumb) 🪴🪏

I love the look of full, beautiful planters… but I’ve never naturally been “good” with plants. So instead of guessing, I started using ChatGPT like my personal garden helper.

Here’s exactly how I do it:
+ i send a photo of my space so it understands the light (full sun, partial shade, etc.)
+ i send photos of my planters so it knows the size + scale
+ at the nursery, I take pictures of the flowers I’m drawn to and ask if they’ll actually work
+ after planting, I check back in if anything starts looking off

The exact prompts I use:
• “Is this plant good for a planter in full sun?”
• “How often should I be watering this?”
• “Why are the leaves turning yellow / drooping?”
• “Should I move this to more or less sun?”
• “Is this overwatered or underwatered?”
• “What plants pair well together in this size planter?”
• “How do I make this look fuller?”
• “What should I do to revive this?”

It takes all the guesswork out and makes plants feel way more doable.
