Just a friendly reminder that most times you see an outfit pic without my face on it is because I:
1. Most likely haven’t washed my hair in days
2. my kids got me out the door and of course I didn’t put any make up on
3. Conclusion? I look like crap.

But I like to love my crappy self and dress it the best I can on days like that. It gives a boost to my confidence and we all need that. Right?

As a mom who works from home I know how hard finding stimulation to wear something more especial can be. I mean nobody sees me behind a computer or when you’re changing the 5th diaper of the day or dealing with the 20th tantrum of the day. Although I should admit that knowing I’ll show my face on stories gives me a boost to put some blush on.

You are beautiful even when your hair forgot what regular (not dry 😂) shampoo is. So go out and wear what you want and makes you feel good, whether that’s a pair of nice jeans, leggings or a pretty dress. I have one diaper and my wet wipes clutch inside my little crossbody bag. Needed water so I hung it to my strap. Let’s say my relationship with diaper bags is not he best. Of course this was for a short trip to the park. Not that crazy!!! It depends on where I’m going and what I’m doing. Last year as a new mom of two I had a big bag most of the times🤷🏻‍♀️

Yes I have a wrinkly bellybutton. Yes under those high waisted leggings there’s a LOT of wrinkly skin. Yes I cried and avoided my reflection in the mirror for a long time. I never “got my body back” as many magazines claim.

Before I saw my new body I had never seen something like it. It was shocking to me. All the postpartum images in my head were of women in bikinis that had gotten their bodies back with healthy eating and exercise. But there I was trying to understand why I didn’t even though I had done those things.

5 years and two pregnancies more later and I’ve slowly learned to accept it. I won’t tell you I don’t struggle, but I take care of this new body. I nourish it with good things and move it to make it stronger. I don’t believe in getting things back after you become a mom. You get new things. Good and bad or maybe just different. You learn to accept them and get the best of them.

So here I am. Showing a peekaboo of this body. Years ago I needed to see other postpartum bodies that weren’t perfect like mine. So I’ll be one even If I’m not brave enough to show it all.

I thought I didn’t need black sneakers but then my dad got them for me as a Mother’s Day gift. I haven’t stopped wearing them ever since. I guess this mom actually needed them? Right? 🤷🏻‍♀️

I return more than I actually buy. Part of it is my job but the other is that I don’t want to fall in the trap of needing it all because I don’t. So even though I show you things and tell you where to get them I’ll never want you to go buy everything. I and other bloggers give you suggestions and ideas and hope you shop if you really need it. Have you heard of @Everlane Good Damn Denim? I’m an Everlane fan and I had been wanting to try them for a while. So one day I ventured out without kids to the flagship store in NYC. I tried the ones I was able to find in my size because believe me they are flying off the shelves. They are under $70!!! Some I liked, others not so much.

In NYC you get to a wedding by train 🤷🏻‍♀️ Anything better than riding the train in a pretty dress and heels? I’ll tell you a funny story about this dress. I first bought it for almost full price. I’m one of those people that when is doing something tends to give everything, sometimes to an extreme. So it was not a surprise that I lost myself in motherhood the first years. But that’s motherhood, is about losing yourself and finding that new you. And new because I don’t believe in getting yourself back...or your body back...you get something new, you discover it little by little and you embrace it.

I had been wanting to do some extreme sports for a while and this day I pushed my hubby to do it as our 8-year-wedding anniversary gift. He had to say yes 😂 8 years of putting up with him leaving the dirty laundry an inch away from the hamper must account for something right?

I have a secret to tell 🤭 This pollen is causing some allergies, they are actually very mild compared to other years, but...the sneezing is making me change my underwear during the day more than once 😫🙈😭😂 just a mom confession here. Why isn’t sneezing the same after giving birth? I swear I’m working out to help my pelvic floor...but for now I’m a grown woman peeing my pants every time I sneeze.
