Living room decor tips I always come back to as an interior designer 🤍✨ @Wayfair #ad

If your living room feels off, it’s usually not because you need more decor—you need better scale, more texture, and layered lighting. Think larger rugs, fuller curtains, oversized art, and pieces that make the space feel collected instead of crowded.

Sharing a few of my favorite Wayfair finds that instantly make a living room feel more elevated ✨ Save this for your next refresh.

The biggest interior design trend of 2026?
✨ Grandma Core ✨ — and no, I’m not talking about dated florals and dusty antiques. I’m talking about homes that feel collected, layered, and full of character again.

I rounded up some pieces that capture this look perfectly — comment “trend” for details ✨

1️⃣ Collected, not decorated
The goal isn’t perfection. It’s a home that feels like it evolved over time, not like everything came from one shopping cart.

2️⃣ Pattern mixing
Florals, stripes, plaids, checks… layering patterns is back. The magic is in creating contrast while still feeling cohesive.

3️⃣ Traditional silhouettes
Skirted furniture, rolled arms, warm woods, timeless shapes. Less trendy, more forever.

4️⃣ Details that make a home feel custom
Lampshades, trim work, hardware, framed art, fabric textures — the little things carry the room.

5️⃣ Intentional clutter
Stacks of books, meaningful objects, collected art, layered textiles. Styled, but never sterile.

The result? A home that feels cozy, personal, and like it actually belongs to the people living in it 🤍

Save this for the next time you’re decorating

5 common home decor mistakes I see all the time (and how to fix them 👇✨)

Your home usually doesn’t need more decor… it needs better styling decisions.

Everything is the same height → If all your decor sits at one level, your space can feel flat. Create variation with different heights, stacked books, taller stems, oversized lamps, and layered objects to give the room movement.

Your lamps are too small → My rule: always go bigger. Undersized lamps make furniture look off-scale. Oversized lamps instantly make a room feel more custom and designer.

Using square art (or mirrors) over the bed → Bedrooms usually look softer and more elevated with longer, linear pieces or oversized matted artwork instead of a single square piece centered above the bed.

Using poster-style wall art or large framed family photos → Instead, elevate your walls with oversized mats, texture, layered frames, artwork, or intentional gallery moments. Matting instantly makes art feel more expensive.

Not using curtains to their full potential → Curtains should go high + wide. Mount them closer to the ceiling and extend beyond the window frame to make windows feel larger and ceilings feel taller.

The difference between a home that feels “fine” and one that feels designed is usually in these little details 🤍

Which one surprised you the most? 👀

Sunday reset, but make it deep clean edition 🧼✨ This is one of my most requested videos, so here’s exactly what I clean every single Sunday to feel like my life is semi put together:

Sheets – Fresh sheets are non-negotiable. If you’re ballin’ on a budget, all you really need is laundry detergent + white vinegar for that crispy clean hotel feel. I like to add scent beads too—my current faves are from Bath & Body Works or the concentrated Grace scents.
Bathroom – This takes the longest, but it’s worth it. I scrub the shower and sink, wipe down every surface, and make sure everything is sparkling.
Kitchen – I disinfect daily, but Sundays are my deep clean day: I wipe down the range, backsplash, cabinets, and disinfect the sink. I swear the whole house feels cleaner when the kitchen shines.
Surfaces – Dusting is a must, especially with dogs. I love the Swiffer duster for grabbing hair and dust in seconds. Then I go back in with Clorox wipes for a final surface clean.
Floors – I start by brushing off the baseboards, then use my Dyson to vacuum up every bit of dirt and dog hair. For mopping, I love my O-Cedar mop, but if I’m short on time, the Swiffer Power Mop is a great backup.
It’s detailed, but it makes such a difference. What’s on your Sunday cleaning list? 🧽🧺🧴 #SundayReset #CleaningRoutine #CleanWithMe #HomeCareTips
