heres how I would rank them in order of “worth having” (and my honest thoughts) I’m a big fan of “play things” and would take them over toys any day of the week. they are more open ended and lead to creative play! (and usually require minimal cleanup!!) Hopefully this helps you as you decide what “play things” you want to invest in! in order from least recommended to most: 9. Balance board - fun for free play but honestly doesn’t get used a ton. I thrifted ours and keep it around but I wouldn’t spend a pretty penny on one. 8. Indoor basketball hoop - rarely used but doesn’t take up space so we keep it! 7. Balance board blocks- these were a fun gift from my in-laws! they are used a bit and are fun to piece together. it’s a fun addition to a play space but I could take them or leave them. 6. Bouncy sit on balls - another gift from my in laws and my kids loooove them. they are very fun but they do take up space and are a bit rowdy lol so if you have a space you can keep them tucked away then I’d recommend! 5. play tent from @lalo : the kids normally use this as part of their tent! And my bb just discovered it and thinks it is so fun to pop in and out of haha! It’s a fun addition to a room or playroom but may not get a ton of use. 4. tumbling mat from houseofnoa - so fun to tumble on - and also used for tents!! made super well and will last forever! you don’t need it but it’s a fun one to have and ends up getting used for all sorts of things 3. stacking stones from @stapelstein.northamerica - we really love these. The colors are so good and they are SO fun to try and balance on. They are fairly expensive and do tend to get scattered around the house but they’re easy cleanup. They make top three “play things” for sure! 2. rocking boat/ stairs : ours is from @radchildrensfurniture and we looove it. babies love to try the stairs and kids love the boat! we also turn it on its side and use it as a sofa table! love this one. 1. foam pieces! probably our most used but you do need a couple sets to really get the fun out of them! “the play gym” from @shopyourigami is where I would start!! we have the @nugget brand as well. Love them both!
