I had the pleasure of attending @escuelaverde ‘s ‘Green tie gala’ yesterday evening and share more about my work with the students 🌿 It was such a great night, and I made some incredible connections—more to come! 1. My name is Keila, pronounced [Kay-lah] and I am a writer, creative and returning blogger. I recently shared a post of what led me to start blogging again, you can find it at the link in my bio!
2. My partner and I got married after 4 mo of dating, most folks are always shocked when I tell them 😂 We knew we were a match at a soul-level. We semi-eloped by a Wisconsin lake with five of our friends and family, that was almost 8 yrs ago!
3. I integrate a lot of earth-centered practices into our home and rituals into my cleaning, cooking and homemaking! I talk about my own spirituality & share insight on menstrual cycles and the moon, which is an area that I don’t think is discussed enough.🌕 Our bodies are incredible and understanding how they flow can lead to so much insight into ourselves ✨
4. I love fashion and style! My focus this year is on using clothes I already own that I 💗, previously owned, ethically-made and owned by BIPOC makers, and ethically made. My entire outfit in this photo, minus the old shoes, is ethically and sustainably-made, it’s all linked via @liketo.knowit where I share shoppable links that are monetized and help support my blogging work. Bag is from the only certified Fair Trade shop in WI, and we’re luckly to have it close to us! @fourcornersmke
5. My website is dedicated to re-defining what it means to live a conscious life. Whether we are buying ethically made clothes or doing the internal anti-bias work, we need to raise conscious children and leave a better world behind.
*and bonus random facts: I am number 8 of 9 kids & I can fit my whole fist in my mouth 🤣
