The chemo curls came out to play yesterday!! And this swimsuit was a lifesaver, or should I say skin saver? Incision saver? My surgeon gave me the green light to go to the beach as long as my incisions were completely covered....check! I will have so many things going on and then get frustrated that I can’t execute them the way I did in my head! The kids are on spring break this week, and months ago I envisioned us spending it at the beach. But cancer called for radiation, and we unexpectedly bought a house. Currently cuddled inside, watching the snow melt ❄️ but today on the blog I’m talking about a lesson that was hard for me, and that was learning to put myself first. Especially when it came to my health. I was notorious for never going to the doctor, saying I was too busy, or just pushing through any kind of mental or physical hardship. I feel like that is just so normal for moms to do, but it isn’t necessary the healthiest thing to do, for yourself or your family.
