The chemo curls came out to play yesterday!! And this swimsuit was a lifesaver, or should I say skin saver? Incision saver? My surgeon gave me the green light to go to the beach as long as my incisions were completely covered....check! The kids are on spring break this week, and months ago I envisioned us spending it at the beach. But cancer called for radiation, and we unexpectedly bought a house. Currently cuddled inside, watching the snow melt ❄️ but today on the blog I’m talking about a lesson that was hard for me, and that was learning to put myself first. Especially when it came to my health. I was notorious for never going to the doctor, saying I was too busy, or just pushing through any kind of mental or physical hardship. I feel like that is just so normal for moms to do, but it isn’t necessary the healthiest thing to do, for yourself or your family.
