Summer walking outfit of the day. I’ve come to realize that at my age I don’t need to knock myself out constantly running or doing high intensity workouts anymore. It’s important to move our bodies during midlife in ways that serve us better. Walk 30 minutes a day. If that seems like too much. start with 5 or 10! Lift weights to help maintain and build muscle! Muscle is what is going to help your metabolism! Just get moving.

This is the reality of a typical home workout.
Today was treadmill day and this is what it looked like.
💓 Didn’t wash my face or brush hair because after all who was going to see me?!?
💓 Haven’t even brushed my teeth yet!
💓 Any makeup you see smeared on my face was a remnant from the day before. I will admit I was too tired last night to properly cleanse 🤷🏻‍♀️
💓 Gym shorts are super old and stained. Tank is newer. I’ve worn both more times this week without washing than I should admit. Thank goodness for anti-stink and anti-microbial fabrics.
💓 Eyeglasses are an integral part of my workout outfit so I can find a podcast on my phone.
💓 No, I did not put on jewelry. The bracelets I’m wearing rarely come off. The necklace is on because again, I was too lazy last night to take it off before bed.
That’s it in a nutshell! We are all human 😉
