When we moved into our new place and I started designing the kids’ rooms, a top priority was making sure the rooms grew with them. I didn’t want to change out fixtures every few years, especially big investment pieces like window treatments but also anything I needed to drill into a wall like shelving.

Here’s my recipe for a room that will grow with your kids:
