• vitamin C serum •
Vitamin C is most likely one of my “you’re stranded on a deserted island top three things”I’m taking lists. It’s also the number one product I recommend to people when they are starting out- it’s easy and makes a visible difference. During the past year, I’ve tried several with mixed opinions and results.
_
• Pros: 20% L-Ascorbic Acid so the formula is stable, brightens skin, protects from free radicals, 2% citrus cells that promotes firmer and smoother skin.
_
• Cons: this is much more like a gel than a serum. The thicker consistency took me some getting used to but it does absorb into the skin. Swipe to see example.

• Tips: I apply about 2 pumps daily in AM (can use in PM if you’d like) on clean skin. Followed by my moisturizer then SPF.
_
• Comparison to other brands: while I do really like this particular vitamin C and have used the entire bottle, it isn’t my favorite. While the 20% active, firming component, price tag, and the pump (I hate Skinceuticals’ dropper which interferes with the stability of the ingredients), were the selling points initially and the consistency was very thick for me. I prefer Skinceuticals thinner formula and it’s ability to absorb better into my skin wins out in the end.
