My mom called me two weeks ago and asked me if I could help her turn her spare room into a beautiful space for my daughters. I designed it and she brought my vision to life. She did an amazing job and I’m always to blown away with my Moms ability to do just about anything. Growing up, her and my dad were always doing projects and I think that’s really where my love of DIY and design came from. There were days where I’d come home from school and the living room would be painted a completely different color. 😂

My girls were so dang surprised and love it so much! They’re still at my parent’s house and I’m just waiting for them to get home to tell me they need a room like this one! 😂

The halls aren’t decked here yet but I wanted to share some of my favorite holiday decor from @Wayfair before it’s gone.

My cedar garland sold out pretty early last year and it is one of my favorites. It is super high quality and realistic. My 7.5 slim Christmas tree is also from Wayfair. It has so many different lighting options and it is under $200. Wayfair also has some of the most beautiful ceramic trees like this one on my sideboard. They have so much for holiday and I’m so excited to see everything come together again this year.

I wanted to share that sometimes you don't always get it right and that's ok.

When we built in 2020, I splurged on two couches from PB. One being an 60 inch and one being 81. As time went on, I kept wishing the 60 inch was bigger. It just felt too small for our living room. A couple months ago, I finally bought another 81 inch and it was finally delivered last month. I ended up getting the exact same couch from PB. I love our couches. The slipcovers are washable and the fabric is very high quality imo.

I am so thrilled with how our living room looks now. It finally feels complete. Sharing some photos of our living room now and what it was before. Don’t mind my awful editing skills from years ago. 😂

This years color palette was influenced by my girls. I went to get mums while they were at their nanas and I had originally picked out white + purple mums (very similar to what I did last year. Just slightly different tones). I kept looking at all different mums and which ones they would have picked out. While the white and purple is beautiful, it’s def not as fun or colorful.

So anyway, I ended up going back out and getting what I thought they would like and they love it and honestly I do too.

I now have 8 mums though so needless to say we are putting mums everywhere this year. 🙈

Amelia had gotten pouch on her curtains a couple of years ago so it was definitely time to switch them out. 🤣

I ended up going with Homerilla curtains in their Lille linen and they’re absolutely beautiful. Pink lemonade is a very soft pink, which goes beautifully in here.
