Sprucing up the backyard in the flip
House part 1!!! I grabbed star jasmine and trellises today and got them planted and strung up. Next up is furniture and replacing the 2 larger trees! I will also use the mulch anchor again to seal down any loose gravel from the winter

This island I added to our laundry room is actually meant for a kitchen but it’s the perfect size for a little extra counter space in here as well. The drawers open both directions. I needed something I could move if needed because the attic ladder is in the ceiling and comes down into this room. I love the vintage wood look!

The flip house fireplace is finished!!! We used micro cement as the material. My beam is an old barn beam. I go to local reclaimed lumber yards and pick out an old beam and bring it home and hang! It’s hand sewn so it has so much character!! I linked the mantel decor, flooring, chandelier and electric fireplace insert here! The greenery is real

This sable brown sectional from Ashley Luxe has been amazing the last couple months! I used to have to wash my white couch monthly with a toddler and 3 dogs. The fabric easily repels liquids and the darker color is a vibe. DIY aged terracotta. I mix the garden lime with water for a thick constitency and just paint it on. Let it dry. Do another layer. Lightly sand then spray with the matte sealer!

What I have been busy working on: prepping the patios for spring!! I can’t wait to show y’all more. Linking my favorite planters and outdoor light, etc. the large plant you see at first is an OpeningDay DoubleFile Viburnum. You also see an olive tree and guara. Hydrangea trees, rosemary, lavendar, boxwoods and hiphop euphorbia in the stone beds. In the box planters I have star Jasmine and sweet alyssum. On the posts outside my shop I have star Jasmine and calibroacha. Get those planters ready!

Spring is here. You can use a leaf blower all you want but all you’re doing is blowing the leaves into your yard for them to blow right into your patios!! Get a leaf VACUUM. It will suck them up and mulch them and you just empty the bag into your trash. Get rid of the leaves completely! I have the cordless and corded varieties both. Corded will save you money but if you get the cordless it truly is so much better. That cord drives me crazy! Shop both here! Happy Spring cleaning!
