Today I had a client ask “When it comes to shifting your identity and being the embodiment of what you do and who you are. What has helped you shift your day to day & show up as your future self?”

I sent over a voice memo sharing what helped me act like the future version of myself that I wanted to create years ago and it was simple… you quite literally have to act like her TODAY. 

When we say we’re going to do something and follow through - we build evidence in ourselves. We become someone we can TRUST. Which in turn builds confidence in who we’re becoming. 

If we’re constantly breaking promises (even the smallest ones like scrolling beyond our phone limits) we’re proving to ourselves that we don’t do the hard thing. We’re straight up not aligning our actions with our goals which creates resistance and frustration. 

I explained that we can have the perfect plan in place: programming, macros, habits, etc but what brings the goals to life…. ACTION! We have to act and just do the thing we’re avoiding in order to become that version of you that’s on your vision board. 

Start acting like HER and taking radical responsibility for yourself and your goals. Keep promises to yourself when no one’s watching. Action is the answer you’re searching for💃‼️
Balanced week BTS 📸🤳

This week was filled with soul moments, but we didn’t slack on our goal habits because of it 💃 concerts, happy hour with a client, date night, trips home 🥰 my heart is full going into this week ahead. 

I got my usual 3 lifts in and started a new training block this week so I kept intensity low to get my baseline weights. I paired my lifts with a few walk/jogs for active rest days to hit my steps as I entered my follicular phase and had more energy. I also took Marvel on a her longest HGW yet and ended with a sweet treat and pup cup ☕️

My favorite at home meal right now is cinnamon apple protein oats (my go to post workout lately). I had dinner out Thursday, Friday and Saturday and shared some of the highlights 🤳. 

I still hit my balanced 3 habits daily but snuck in some soul foods: food trucks at the concert and some sauvi b.  Some@fun staples this week were Koia on the go and Alyssa’s Oat Bites 🍪 

I was an outfit repeater in my Lost At Sea set from @ptulaactive that launches this Friday 9.26 at 12pm eastern‼️I’m obsessed with the BAREPRO Classic Leggings and Fitted Jacket in Coastal Blue and the Comfort Fleece Hoodie and Jogger in Coastal Blue as well 🫶🏼

We celebrated lots of wins inside @builtandbalanced 🥂 “I know I’ve said it so many times throughout this process but I really appreciate everything! You have showed me how to live a sustainable lifestyle that actual feels balanced between fitness/health and everyday life! I used to think I knew how to do that but I was always restricting and that was when I was able to lift 6 days a week so it was hard for me to adjust when life changed! So again thank you 🥹“

We’re also deep in the planning for our first ‘official’ B&B community workout in November 👀 🎉‼️

A balanced weekend in Chicago 📸 A little BTS on how I maintained my habits while exploring the city and celebrating all weekend💃

My 80% 🚶‍♀️🏋️‍♀️🥗🍳🥬🍓🫐

Movement: I front loaded my lofts so all I had left for the weekend was active rest days. Our first day we explored and got almost 24,000 steps 😅 and Saturday I got in a peloton spin class with my friend at the hotel gym. Sunday we walked as much as we could before flying home which is our typical routine on travel weekends - 2 step days and 1 class or cardio session to sweat on Saturday!

Nutrition: I packed my go to staples with me: electrolytes, water bottle, Nash bars for protein and consider this bars for fiber. I stuck to a ‘goal food’ breakfast that was pretty simple: eggs, chicken sausage and berries (protein and fiber) with some gluten free toast. I repeated this everyday at our hotel restaurant and for lunch got a protein forward entree (salmon) or SunLife double protein smoothie before meeting friends at a bar to watch football for the day. For dinners, I got something protein forward and split tapas to control portion sizes. Smalle 1% better habits: asking for veggies with hummus, gettin a half chicken to split, veggie forward sides and apps. I hit my water goal daily and focused on my balanced 3: 100g min protein, 25g min fiber and 10K min steps ✅

My 20%: 🥂
I had some spicy margs both nights but spaced it out with waters between. I didn’t limit myself but naturally drank less because I was just in the moment and hydrated. I brought my electrolyte packs out with me and had one ‘mocktail’ with that at the end of the night. We bopped around Friday and got some sweet treats but I kept to a few bites (bc they weren’t gf/df) and i got my go to bar snack for the football game: sweet potato fries 🍟 

I had a client this week comment on having a new low weigh in after a flexible weekend and I reminded her that we are what we do MOST of the time! The structure you have 80% of the week, allows for that flexibility and freedom to enjoy@m the 20% without losing progress or momentum.
