What a day. 🥰🎄

We kicked things off with 4th grade and Buddy-the-Elf–inspired Christmas waffles, then jumped into making the cutest gingerbread house ornaments using terracotta pots and acrylic markers. The laughs really started with our games — racing to spell all 9 reindeer first and filling cups with marshmallow “snowballs”… using only chopsticks 😂 The creativity was unreal.

Then it was 1st grade’s turn for Christmas waffles and cozy hot cocoa with all the toppings. We made gingerbread houses again (this time with wooden pots for less stress 🙌), mixed up some magical reindeer food — because obviously Santa’s crew needs help finding their houses — and finished with I SPY snow globes filled with snowy surprises. ❄️

They had the biggest smiles, so much fun, and haven’t stopped talking about it… and I can only hope they felt just as special as it made me feel. 💛

I was gifted one of these cookie jars by one of my CCD students and it was just too sweet not to pass along.

It’s made using Kodiak pancake mix, and Kodiak has a free printable right on their website for the jar labels (so easy!). I printed mine on sticker paper, but you can also use packing tape to attach them. The printable tells you exactly how much of each ingredient to add — then just tie a bow and you’re done ✨

All they need to add is:
🧈 1 stick of butter
🥚 2 eggs
🍦 1 tsp vanilla

Such a thoughtful, inexpensive gift, and I’m making these for all the staff at my kids’ school this year 🥹 Everything I used is linked below!

Thanksgiving week with my kiddos and their classes was everything 🧡🍁 I had so much fun celebrating with them, and I think it’s safe to say they had an absolute blast too!

In 4th grade we kicked things off with the cutest fall morning — pumpkin pancakes, fresh fruit, and our own “harvest hash” mix. The kids made the sweetest little ears of corn 🌽 and then went wild over winning a turkey by rolling 3 of a kind! (Any number works as long as they match!) Watching them try to guess what they won was the BEST.

My son’s 1st grade celebration was just as precious. We went full Charlie Brown style with pretzel sticks, popcorn, jelly beans, and toast… and my girl at Baked By The Ocean totally outdid herself with the toast-inspired sugar cookies 🥹 The kids devoured them!

We also made turkey frames, snapped photos of what they’re most thankful for, and sent them home for families to enjoy 🥰 And of course we had to end with a little football fun — the kids tossed for points and picked prizes based on their score (everyone gets a prize in my book 😉).

My heart is so full after this week. Grateful for these moments, these memories, and these amazing kids 🤎🍂
