For the longest time this porch was just there. We had the space, but we weren’t actually using it.

A few simple updates, comfy seating, soft textures, warm lighting and layers make it feel like an outdoor living room.

We now use this room more than our own living room in the summer (it helps that there is a TV out here-let’s be honest)

It’s proof that sometimes the missing piece isn’t a bigger home, it’s making the space you already have cozy

Love this metal wall shelf with hooks! So many of you asked about the hooks I installed under my cabinet. This is a great idea if you can’t add hooks under your cabinets or need an idea for empty wall space! Perfect in a bathroom too!

Just another day of me over here adding molding to my walls.

It’s actually not hard to install—I promise

And for anyone who wants nothing to do with power tools, I found the best solution: peel-and-stick wall molding.

Before you try it yourself, make sure to read my tips first.

-These kits come in a few different sizes. Make sure you order the correct size for your wall (you’re somewhat limited)

-Depending on what kit you order…the instructions are useless (and wrong) so keep that in mind. It’s pretty self explanatory though

-There also might be a plastic protective film on each molding piece that you’ll need to peel off before you get started. This part was not fun and I did start questioning all of my life choices

-A laser level is not necessary but it’s a huge help. I’ll link mine for you

-Measure, measure and measure again. I found the middle of my wall and worked out

-Gently push each molding piece onto the wall until you have everything in place. Then give it a good push to make sure it’s on there real good

-Is this 100% perfect? No, but it’s pretty dang close and the fact that I did not have to cut one piece of wood or pull out my nail gun, makes it 100% worth it!
