Let’s be honest… I pretty much made this reel just so I could use this song. 😂

I realized I’ve never actually shared a true before-and-after of our backyard.

And trust me, I know adding a pool isn’t exactly a budget-friendly DIY project.

This was nine years of saving, planning, and convincing my husband that it was worth it.

And if you asked me whether I’d do it all over again? Honestly, I’m still not sure how I’d answer that.

The most asked question I get is where I found my brass rails on
my bookshelf.

They are just good ol’ cabinet pulls. You can pick any size that fits your need. I attached them to my shelves with blue mounting putty and done!

No drill necessary!

For the longest time this porch was just there. We had the space, but we weren’t actually using it.

A few simple updates, comfy seating, soft textures, warm lighting and layers make it feel like an outdoor living room.

We now use this room more than our own living room in the summer (it helps that there is a TV out here-let’s be honest)

It’s proof that sometimes the missing piece isn’t a bigger home, it’s making the space you already have cozy
