I went to a natural hairstylist and she put me ON 💇🏽‍♀️✨ Like, real pro tips on how to get that silky, bouncy, flowy silk press at home 🫧 And yes, she gave me the step-by-step and dropped some holy grail product recs 🤸🏽‍♀️

If you’re trying to get that fresh-out-the-salon look without frying your hair, here’s what she said to do!

All products are linked.

STEP 1: Clarify that scalp! You need a clean base or your silk press won’t hit 🧼
STEP 2: Follow up with a hydrating shampoo based on your hair type 💦
STEP 3: Use a moisturizing conditioner but don’t put it on your scalp. Mid-shaft to ends only 🪮
STEP 4: Apply your leave-in and heat protectant. Non-negotiable 💁🏽‍♀️
STEP 5: Blow dry properly. This step matters more than you think ♨️
STEP 6: Use a shine spray before flat ironing. Trust me 🪞
STEP 7: Finish with a light holding spray so your press lasts longer ✔️
