We accept this with hope because we enter it with the assurance that God is with us all the days of our lives, and he’s ripening within us the fruit of the Spirit until we take our final breath.” I love this quote from Dust to Dust by Jen Wilkin. I recently finished this book and can’t stop thinking about it. Her encouragement to live a life of consequence and the reminder to number our days has me thinking about a refrain from the poem by C.T. Studd, “Only one life ‘twill soon be past, only what’s done for Christ will last.” While the world finds aging repulsive, Wilkin reminds readers that true beauty is found in being transformed from one degree of glory to the next.
