This NYFW I was super honest with myself about how much I could do and some of the harsh realities of the week that are not often talked about. Of course the good parts are seeing my favorite shows and discovering new designers. But there are also some not-so-good parts, such as getting a STANDING ticket for shows and waiting an hour to be seated, paying for Ubers to and from Brooklyn, and even being treated rudely because I’m not a VIP. . To be honest, throughout the week I think to myself: why am I doing this when I’m not being paid while depleting my energy, time, and bank account? Sometimes it’s hard to lose sight of why I do this in the first place, which is first and foremost because of my love for fashion. So this NYFW I focused on going to the shows that I love, and being OK with not attending everything just because everyone else is. . You can see my full NYFW VLOG of The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly Truths on Youtube.com/layersofchic. And all of my NYFW outfits are now up on my blog on Layersofchic.com, link in bio! nyfwstreetstyle nyfw2019 springstudios http://liketk.it/2FkEH @liketoknow.it liketkit
