The Nsale officially opens to everyone tomorrow and what you see me shopping is wayyyy different than your average “influencer!” I’ve been shopping the Nsale for over 10 years and my shopping habits have changed significantly! I now focus on quality work wear, classic accessories, and new shoes (especially heels). I used to buy a lot of makeup sets that went unused, fall & winter clothes that I rarely touched (hello Texas winters!), and trendy items, but not anymore. Galveston sure ain’t pretty, but the kids love it. The weather was hot, the water was cool, and we’ll never forget the beach shovels again. 🤣 And we tried to take them to the beach numerous times in June but never was able to make it work between work and the weather, so I’m glad we finally made our first (and hopefully not the last) trip of this summer.

Photo dump from 48 hours in Nashville for Marcus’s cousins wedding—and I hardly took any photos. 😅 Although I’ve been to Nashville recently for work, it has been 9 years since I have been there for pleasure and dang, has it changed! It was Marcus’s first trip, so here’s my honest recap:

- Bourbon Steak Nashville on the top of the JW Marriott was amazing. We’ll definitely eat there again & the women’s bathrooms had the funnest, whimsical Alice and wonderland wallpaper (and we’ll stay at the JW again!)
- Broadway has become so commercialized. Every bar is owned by a musician and it’s turned more into a mini Vegas.
- Hardly any of the live bands (even the alleged country ones) knew 90s country or red dirt country which was pretty shocking. They all take song requests and even asking for George Strait yielded deer in the headlights looks haha
- Y’all, country ain’t country anymore. All the guys have the same wannabe Morgan Wallen and Benson Boone look—a mustache, band tee, and mullet. Don’t get me wrong, I like their music, but it’s not country!
- The Johnny Cash Museum is still one of my favorite things to see Nashville (and watching acts at The Opry which we didn’t have time for this trip).
- Out of all the bars on Broadway, we liked Miranda Lamberts bar the best — they had actually country bands and it was a Texas themed bar 🙌🏻 We went back there twice!
