Here’s exactly how I clean my glass stovetop + some extra tips for really bad food burns 1. Use dawn dish spray to get off the top layer of burned food, scrub with a WET non-scratching wire cloth, then wipe off with a paper towel. 2. Rub in a gritty cream cleaner with a paper towel. I use Weiman brand but I’ve heard Bar Keeper’s Friend works well too. I do not recommend The Pink Stuff, it scratches. 3. Wipe off the cream with a dry paper towel, but leave it on the burned spots longer so it dries completely. 4. Scrub again with the wet wire cloth, then wipe off with another dry paper towel. 5. Spray on either Weiman daily stovetop cleaner or some basic glass cleaner to remove residue. Extra tips: You can use a little razor blade scraper that’s made for glass to remove major burned spots. I would have used it but I lost mine. 🤭 There are videos floating around about using degreaser and letting it sit for a few hours. This does work but that is a strong chemical and the toxins in the air aren’t something I want to play around with. Especially since I have pets. I’m usually a “reusable cloth vs paper towels” kind of chick, but for this job you need to use disposable paper towels. Cloths are too soft and you’ll go through a ton of them. Any questions? Did I leave something out? Does another method work better for you? Lmk! stovecleaning cleaningtips cleaningmotivation cleaninghacks
