As a one-income family, my husband and I are super intentional with our spending — especially when it comes to larger home purchases. That’s why we try and buy secondhand whenever we can. And the first place I look? Facebook Marketplace. It’s basically become my daily nap time scroll (right after @pinterest, of course 💁🏻‍♀️).

My rule of thumb: if I spot something in-store that feels so right for our home, I pause before buying. More often than not (hello, bedroom lamps 👋🏼💡), a quick Marketplace search turns up the exact same piece for way less. Moral of the story? Always check before you buy new. 🛒

Disclaimer: mattresses and bedding are a hard pass for me secondhand — those are too personal and 100% worth investing in. 🛏️
