Fake! I started doing this about 2 years ago! You can filled them with real dirt and poke them into the dirt or do what I do, get styrofoam blocks or stack them and poke them with the twigs! I do this year round just change up the followers with the seasons then Christmas time tall christmas trees go inside the pots!
