Attending the @magen_david_adom_america Miami Gala was far more than simply showing up for an evening. It was a powerful reminder of the values that bind the Jewish community together: compassion, responsibility, & unwavering commitment to saving lives.❤️MDA’s work represents courage in its purest form, responding in moments of crisis with professionalism, humanity, & heart. One of the most impactful moments of the evening for me was meeting Eli Sharabi, who was held hostage for 491 days in Gaza. From holding his hands & giving him hugs to hearing his story firsthand brought a deeply human dimension to the mission of MDA; a reminder that behind every call, every response, & every life saved is a real person, a family, & a future. His presence embodied Jewish resilience, strength, & the profound importance of standing together, especially in the most difficult moments. He is truly a remarkable human being. I left the gala inspired & grateful & even more proud of be Jewish.
