I learned this hack from Nikki
La Rose and it's a game changer. The secret; powder on bare lips before lipstick. It locks everything in so your color stays put, even through meals.
How I do it:
1. Press a little loose powder onto bare lips using the BK
Beauty x Nikki La Rose N14
Brush.
2. Apply lip liner for definition.
3. Add lipstick (it goes on smooth + stays put).
4. Finish with gloss for shine + plumpness.

How to Wash Your Makeup Brushes (The Right Way!)

🧼 This is the RIGHT WAY to clean your makeup brushes! Dirty brushes = breakouts, streaky makeup, and damaged bristles… we want to avoid that.
Here’s how I do it:
STEP 1: Start with warm water, not hot! Hot water can loosen the glue that holds your brush together. You just want it warm enough to break up makeup.
STEP 2: Wet the bristles only. Always point the brush down so water doesn’t seep into the base. Don’t soak the whole brush, just the fibers!
STEP 3: Take your brush cleanser, liquid or solid, and swirl the brush gently in your palm. You’ll start to see all that product come out. Rinse and repeat until the water runs clear.
STEP 4: Gently squeeze out the extra water, reshape the brush, and lay it flat on a towel to dry. Let it dry completely before standing it up. This helps prevent shedding!

🧽✨ I wash my brushes every 1–2 weeks to keep them soft, fresh, and performing their best. Trust me, your skin and makeup will thank you!

Concealer Tips✨

Less concealer = better coverage ✨
Over applying concealer is the quickest way to create creasing and texture. I always place a small amount in the inner and outer corners, let it sit for a few seconds, then blend. This gives maximum coverage with the least amount of product.

One of my biggest tips is dry-cleaning your brush before the final blend, it absorbs excess concealer and keeps everything smooth and natural under the eyes.

The best blush brush is one that gives you control
The BK Beauty x Nikki La Rose N20 is light, airy, and not too dense. Which means you can build color slowly and never over apply.

I’m using it with the Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge Velvet Matte in Tea Rose, and the finish is so soft and natural. Light pressure for a sheer wash, more pressure for more color.

This and the BK Beauty 112 are my go-to blush brushes. Wispy, effortless, and foolproof.

One small blush placement change can make a huge difference
If you’re over 40, try moving your blush slightly back and blending upward instead of placing it on the center of the cheeks. It instantly gives a softer, more lifted look.
