As some of you may know, my 11 year old has been on a fashion journey this year. She’s been trying to figure out where she falls style-wise and how she wants to evolve with it. After going through so many pictures and clothes we have decided that she is really drawn to the Dark Academia aesthetic. It absolutely fits her personality perfectly and I’m so happy that we can now start building that wardrobe for her. She influenced me so much that I made a last minute change to the capsule wardrobe I was working on this week to change it to Dark Academia. So bear with me while I am scrambling to finish that change. If you are unfamiliar with that aesthetic, it is very much scholarly autumn. Similar to what I’m wearing today. Think browns, wool, tweeds, plaid, textures, vests (both sweater vest and waistcoat), loafers, sweaters.
