I found this skirt on Poshmark for $20. It’s a wrap style with a leather buckled waistband. The seller bought it in 1990 in Germany. I love knowing a story behind something I buy, it makes it better. I layered a slip dress under it because it opens in the wrap overlap area and exposes a lot of leg when I walk. The slip dress keeps it all covered.

Some colour blocking today. Cropped ‘linen and retro Adidas. And in yesterdays post, I said that light blue can often feel like a neutral depending on what you pair it with. With this combo it’s more contrast than yesterday, but still easy to wear. If it was colder out I would layer my bright blue blazer, or bright blue velvet coat for a bolder colour blocking. Or my brown blazer to add neutrals for more a subtle colour blocking. Adding colour to your wardrobe is fun and easy when you break it down to one piece at a time. You can then add more or less depending on how much colour you want to wear.

I sometimes feel that light blue can come across as a neutral depending on what colour you pair it with. I originally had on black shoes but the blue didn’t seem like strong enough of a colour paired with the black jeans, so I swapped the black shoes for shiny red. Then throw in an animal print tote and it’s not quite as basic.
The jeans are Levi’s Baggy Dad jeans and I found them secondhand. The black handbag is vintage.
