Honestly, I hate the jacket over shoulders thing because it’s not practical for me. But this sweater doesn’t not fit under a coat and if I tried I would have robotic sausage arms which looks dumb and isn’t comfortable or practical either. Two things: first, don't be afraid to mix prints. They add a lot of visual interest to an outfit. Here I have animal print and houndstooth. When in doubt mix a holder print with a smaller one.
Second, is you buy one shoe this season and you want something that will have trend longevity, try an oxford. They are do versatile and can fit into pretty much any style or aesthetic. Preppy, classic, androgynous, quiet luxury, edgy, rock, minimalist, maximslist...and so on. Your going to see a lot of them in stores in different shapes and colours. Mine are a pointy toe beige pair by Jil Sander that I found on consignment. There are a lot of secondhand oxfords out there if you look.
