The way I transformed this one cold space into 2 livable, usable spaces still has me shocked. I think this space was imagined to be one larger bathroom, but I knew that it needed more and the butler’s pantry was the perfect addition! Still recovering from the labor or this bathroom though 😂😂
📌Save this post if you are looking for a way to add texture and character to your backyard, or even side yard by connecting spaces with a stone walkway. When we shift our firepit to the center of the yard, I knew a stone pathway would be the perfect fit to make the space feel attached to the other spaces in the yard. I love them so much!

Would you try this? All items linked in my LTK! #diystonewalkway #diystonepathway
Raise your hand if you are OVER winter, gray skies, and ready for Spring. Here in Atlanta, we’ve been getting way too many Spring sneak peeks and I’m ready for it, minus the pollen, and bugs. But I’m ready for some outdoor projects!

What’s the weather like where you are? Have you been getting false hope Spring like we have here in Atlanta?
This song is exactly the story of my life when it comes to the infamous basement. I have 2 more rooms down here to completed before I can call it finished, the bathroom being one of them. But you would be proud. I am actually serious this time. Operation bathroom is underway for real! Do you have faith in me?
Part… whatever this is at this point and I finally decided on a ceiling wallpaper. Can you believe it came from Amazon? And it’s waterproof? And get this… under $20 per roll, unless you want the larger roll. Either way, its perfect and the fact that it ties in so well to the other basement colors has me knowing it was meant to be🙆🏾‍♀️

But in keeping it real, installing wallpaper over your head is a BEAST! But I love it.

Up next toilet (its a fancy one) and vanity.

📌 Save this post if you are short on storage or pantry space! One of the most asked questions for any of my cabinet projects is how much they cost and what do I keep in them. Well, I’m answering both! Sharing whats inside today, and the cost breakdown tomorrow. Comment “Cabinet” to be added to my unfinished cabinet guide waitlist if you are thinking of adding some to your home!
Ok here is the basement bathroom reveal… okay not really, but its…well part one. I couldn’t in good conscience share the reveal without recapping to anyone who hasn’t been following along all the projects that I did. This space is the perfect addition to all the work we’ve done in the space and I can’t wait to share it tomorrow!

Swipe and Comment “Cabinet” if you’ve ever wondered how I get a custom look for my unfinished cabinets every time. Plus I know how to save some money. Every project for me starts with asking a Contractor what they would charge for a project and I was told thousands for this one. I knew the storage was needed, so I did it myself. Let me tell you, if I can do it myself, I will.

What would you store in here?
My yard took several years and lots of DIY projects in the Georgia heat 🥵but it is a space that is so peaceful and one we truly love. Sometimes chipping away at the potential is the greatest part of the journey. My yard has come a long way and I still have so many plans for it!
Yall I bought these lights months ago and didn’t get them installed because I was nervous and it felt like such a permanent decision. Spoiler alert… I love them!! 😍😍They give the PERFECT vibes for the speakeasy basement bathroom. I linked them in my LTK and the bulbs came with them.

Let me know what do you think? The bathroom is 90% done yall!
Yall! an unfinished cabinet HATES to see me coming, especially since they’ve never touched the kitchen 😂. I don’t care though. The more projects I do, the more I can inspire you to tackle your own unfinished cabinet project.

Have you used unfinished cabinets in your home, outside of the kitchen?
If I knew 10 years ago I would be on the DIY journey that I’m on, I would have laughed because there is no way I just finished a whole bathroom😅 It’s been a journey! A fun one and I am reflecting on how blessed I am to do this! Thanks for following supporting!

Moving my firepit from the corner to the center of the yard was already the ultimate glow up, but throw in the chat GPT rendering to add plants? I know my future self is gonna thank me once they have a chance to mature.

I’m itching for Fall nights, okay really just Halloween😂😂

Here I am with no formal training, just a girl that looked at HGTV one day and decided that if they could tile a fireplace then I can too. That was back in 2012. Fast forward to now and the fact that I get to do this as my job and build beyond this is still mind boggling. Has it been easy, ummm no! But its so very much worth it.

I love creating. I love making my house into a space that feels loved, curated and feels special. I just don’t think any of the other 90’s houses in my subdivision feel as special as mine🤷🏿‍♀️🙆🏿‍♀️. So to have a magazine reach out to do a special shoot for my basement bar that I built (Julius chipped in with muscle when needed). These photographers and stylists that were at my house shoot in multi million dollar homes and here they are in mine🥹

If no one else tells you, you are capable of accomplishing anything you set your mind to, but don’t forget there has to be work and action behind the thought. Love you guys! ❤️❤️

Save or share this post to someone who needs to hear it! I am not sure who this message will or will not touch/reach but it’s something that has been on my heart for a while. Every so often fear or imposter syndrome creeps in and I get to feeling “down.” So I have to pep myself up and get to the root of those thoughts and at the root, its fear. Fear of the unknown I guess🤷🏿‍♀️

So if you needed to hear this, I am glad that the message is on time. Love you guys!

Not every DIY is fast, but this one was worth the wait.

This basement bathroom came together in layers, decisions, and pauses… and now it finally feels like part of our home instead of a wasted space full of hopes and dreams😮‍💨

If you’re in the middle of a long project, this is your reminder that slow progress is still progress.

Which part do you want me to break down next ? The design cost or mistakes?
From a 90’s waste of space to being published in @betterhomesandgardens Magazine! If I’m being honest, I almost let this moment stay between me and my family and then I said, it wouldn’t have happened without yall so thank you! I’ve had smaller features but this is my first full page one. Still a surreal moment seeing this space in print. Let me know if you’ve seen it!

As my cabinet projects continue to make their IG rounds, I like to provide a FAQ video so that people can know exactly which unfinished cabinets I used in my spaces. If you want to know exactly which cabinets are used, comment CABINET or check out my LTK for links! 💁🏾‍♀️
I will never get over the joy and storage that my unfinished cabinets bring to my spaces. I am currently working on a guide that will show you how you can seamlessly incorporate them in a way that feels intentional and solve storage problems you may have. If you want to be added to my waitlist to be alerted when its live, comment “Cabinet” below.

What’s your fav movie?
Swipe to see the evolution of the basement bathroom from one large concrete box to split spaces, one that became a butler’s pantry and the other side became the cutest speakeasy, boutique style bathroom. I still can’t believe that I built this space myself. The tile alone still has me in like “girl what were you thinking.” But with a $15,000 quote, that was enough at least me try. Glad it worked out!
