Since swapping all our bedrooms around, I was on the hunt for a new tall dresser that would fit in this open corner of my bedroom. No counter space? This might help!

I didn’t realize how much room my old toaster was taking up until I swapped it for this one. It’s long and narrow instead of wide and bulky, so it literally takes up half the space… but still fits two slices (just front to back instead of side by side).

The slot is actually a little wider too, so it works for thick bagels and even big slices of fresh sourdough, which most toasters can’t handle. And the color is such a soft, neutral tone that it blends right in instead of looking like another bulky appliance sitting out on the counter.

Way less visual clutter, way more functional!

Trying to bathe a Frenchie who hates water… 0/10 would not recommend 😂

But this one upgrade made it SO much easier.

We finally replaced our basic showerhead + random hose attachment from Amazon with a proper fixture that has a built-in wand, and it’s one of those things I wish I had done sooner.

It works so much better for dog baths and cleaning, and it actually looks like it belongs in the space. I was a little nervous switching over from darker oil rubbed bronze to a much lighter champagne bronze, but it's absolutely stunning and looks very high end in my opinion.

In most homes, the entryway is the first spot for clutter to build up because everything passes through this space. And honestly, it’s not because your family is messy. Most of the time it just means there isn’t a clear system for where those everyday items are supposed to go.

Over the years I’ve realized that one of the easiest ways to keep a home feeling calm is to stop the clutter before it ever spreads into the rest of the house. When the entryway works well, it kind of acts like a filter.

Create a drop zone for small items to land as soon as you walk in the door (keys, wallet, sunglasses, etc). Use a console table like these and a tray, bowl, or basket to create a visual boundary.

For the last 14 years my laundry has been done in a dark, cobweb-filled little corner of our unfinished basement. I dream of one day having a pretty laundry room filled with sunlight and tons of storage, but until that day comes, I'm going to make tiny upgrades that make this unpleasant chore a little more enjoyable.

For example: decanting our laundry detergent into simple, stylish glass containers. It takes something that looks messy and chaotic with all the random, colorful packaging and turns it into something that actually feels calm and intentional.

These huge jars were under $12, and they’re perfect for powdered laundry detergent. Such an easy upgrade that instantly makes the space feel more pulled together.

And if you're wondering about what I use to clean our clothes these days… I have a few non-toxic laundry products I’ve been loving lately.
