My favorite thing about having a child, especially a daughter, is playing dress up. I’m going to soak up these days because I’ll blink and she will be 18 years old and won’t want to really hang out with me. 😂😭

Today we went to a #rainbow play date with some of our friends at @ocbubblepop. We celebrated kindness, acceptance, inclusion and understanding and had two queens read stories to the kids and had a dance party.
.
Now some of you may be wondering- what’s the point of exposing kids to “stuff” like that. But the thing is- kids don’t see “stuff” or differences. They take a cue from adults in how to treat others.
.
You might not agree with the way that people live their lives but I find that being open minded and non judgmental is a better way to live than judging everyone that’s different from you.
.

I’ve been having lots of fun dressing up during the two times we visited #StarWarsGalaxysEdge. It’s really such an amazing immersive experience!

I don’t take things too seriously or to heart so I have fun when we go there. But I do wish there was more of the original #StarWars within the land.

We celebrated the upcoming release of @dumbo on DVD and Blu-ray at a fun carnival at @disneystudio on Friday! (ad)

I feel like I relate to Dumbo in a lot of ways because when I was younger, I was so afraid and unsure of myself. Now that I’m older, I realize that I’ll have the strength in myself to be able to do a lot more than I think I can.

I didn’t think we needed a #ToyStory4 until we saw it.

Last night @disney invited us to the opening night Fan Event for @toystory 4. I’m still processing it but thought it was entertaining and brought closure to a chapter that completes the story.

There were a few parts that were startling (Gabby Gabby and the ventriloquist dolls!) 😂😬 It wasn’t scary but if your child is a little sensitive, make sure you keep your arm around them. 🥰
.

For #PopUpDisney a few weeks ago, I decided to channel my inner crafting goddess and painted these #disney sayings on denim jackets.

I was inspired by my friend @treehousethreadsblog’s cute DIY except I didn’t have a @cricut. So I bought some stencils and fabric paint from @michaelsstore with a gift card they sent me.
.
I LOVED how it turned out but it was hard to keep everything straight. 😬🤣 I chose #hiyapal and #seeyarealsoon because Pop Up Disney is a Mickey celebration! I also added some patches that I bought from World of Disney.
.
Are you good at do-it-yourself projects?

If I had to do it all over again, I’d plan better and buy some #cricut letters. 🤣🤣

Honestly you guys, I struggle with being kind to myself. I can encourage and think the most wonderful things about others. BUT when it comes to myself, I second guess and undermine my talents and abilities.

Do you guys ever do that? Why is it that we can think the world of about others but it’s so hard when it comes to ourselves?

There’s a fine line between being confident and being a conceited. But it’s also not good to downplay your abilities.

Today is #EarthDay! 🌎

When we went to visit the @antelopevalleypoppyreaerves, I was so in awe of the beautiful hills filled with vibrant poppies. It made me want to take more hikes (which we used to do before we had A.)
.
Funny story: on one of our hikes, my husband wanted to go off the trail and said there’s a short. Basically, we were sliding down a hill. There was a “trail” but I don’t think it was an official trail. 😱🤬
.
At the end of the hike, he asked his friend and I what our favorite part of the hike was. I said “when it was over.” His friend said “when we got Gatorade.” 🤣🤣
.
Anyway, lesson learned from this- stay on the trail. 🥰🤣

Ok, so Christmas is two days away. We only do presents for kids so that cuts out a lot of stress but we have relatives over and I had to majorly clean out the house. That was a bit stressful but also refreshing (still need to do a more thorough purge later) I feel better already.

Are you a dreamer or a realist? I think when I was younger, I used to be more of a dreamer but the realities of adulthood have faded those dreams and put more of a jaded perspective on life.

But after becoming a mom, the innocence and zeal for life that A has about everything has helped me to dream more and not be as negative about things. It doesn’t mean I live with my head in the clouds but I do have some big dreams for myself, my daughter, and our family.
