My favorite storage basket! It’s a pottery barn one that I thrifted about 10 years ago. It was already old when I got it.. and still in fabulous condition! I also have the bigger one too! Right now I’m trying to find a place for her. She’s currently hiding behind our giant TV. This weekend we are replacing the giant TV with a smaller one that will hang above the fireplace! I’m so excited!

I store extra couch pillows and blankets in the baskets! Perfect to toss in and forget.

Work in progress! Living room update! Starting with these dressers. I needed some more storage on either side of my fireplace so I bought these two matching dressers from Amazon. My 14 year old son put them together and they turned out so cute! Right now we are using them to store mostly board games and puzzles. I’m still trying to figure out how to style them. I have lamps there now and some other little knickknacks. I’m thinking of covering the lampshades with a pretty wallpaper I have left over from another project. The big TV is going to be replaced by a smaller TV that will hang over the fireplace where the clock is now. Once we get the TV up I’ll share another update!

Should I cover the lampshades? Yes or no?

New rug for my entry way! This area of the house is still a blank slate. So, I’m starting with a rug! I love the blues and oranges in the pattern, which compliment our floors. When we update the floors we will also update the patterned tile on the stairs. I plan to keep the tiles in the same color family- perhaps with a little bit of blue in the pattern. The rug serves as a nice inspiration for the colors in the new tile!

Rug is from Target and it’s super soft! It’s also on sale!!

It's been about two weeks since we moved into our new home. It's an older home built in the Mediterranean French Style. We plan to do some renovations including in the kitchen. These are all items I have on my list for my kitchen renovation. I know for sure I want a giant farmhouse sink!

Pool or Lakeside storage is a must! Over the years I've found that I need storage for a lot of items outside around the lake and pool. Dry towel storage and a towel rack for wet towels are so important. I also like to use smaller bins to store goggles and smaller pool toys. And... don't forget the outside trash can! I love that this one is pretty!

The hallway between the garage and kitchen deserves a little love too. This is one of the first new pieces we’ve added to our new home, and this washable vintage-style runner adds warmth, color, and character to one of the hardest-working spaces in the house. I also love the non-slip rubber backing—it stays put and helps absorb water on rainy days, making it as practical as it is beautiful.

These are the original terracotta floors. We are going to replace them, thinking of going with a light travertine or travertine looking tile.

A little sneak peek of the new house!

These Louis XV-style chairs came with us from our previous home, but somehow they look even more at home here. I love how the olive green velvet complements the old-world character of the space… but now I’m second-guessing myself.

Should I keep the green velvet for a rich, collected European look, or recover them in classic flax linen for a softer French country feel?
