Defined waist - high-rise or contoured bands that pull you in
Hip detail - pockets, pleats, or fading
for shape
Style-loose, barrel, or wide leg Mid/high rise - lengthens legs +
creates curves

Here are is simple guide to finding what dresses flatter rectangle bodies: 

If you have more of a rectangle shape, the biggest thing with dresses is just making sure something is giving you a waist… even if you don’t naturally have one.

I always look for anything that pulls in at the middle — wrap dresses, anything belted, or even just a little ruching. If it goes straight down with no shape, it’s usually a skip.

Also pay attention to where the volume is. A little puff sleeve or a flowy skirt helps balance everything out and makes your body look less straight. That combo alone makes such a difference.

Necklines help more than people think too — scoop necks, deeper v’s, anything a little more open just softens everything and adds some shape up top.

And honestly, structure is your best friend. Seams, corset-style tops, anything that kind of curves in at the waist… those are always the ones that hit.

If I try something on and it doesn’t give me shape right away, I already know I’m not gonna reach for it.

Rectangle bodies here’s your guide to shopping the right jeans- it mostly comes down to proportions

low rise cuts your body off at the widest part of your hips, so everything can look shorter and a little boxy

high rise sits at your natural waist (the smallest part), so it instantly creates shape and makes your legs look longer

with wide leg jeans specifically, the volume needs that higher starting point or it can just feel heavy and kind of drag you down

so same body… just a different waistline and it changes everything. 

When searching for jeans styles: focus on creating shape, not just fit

high rise is key — it hits your natural waist and gives that curve effect

go for structured denim over super thin/stretchy

and always fit your waist first… that’s what makes the biggest difference. 
Some of my personal favorite jean options are, wide leg, barrel and loose fit. These styles give shape while also balancing proportions. (Linked some personal fave options as well)
