Embossed Gingerbread Cookies [Recipe Below]❄️⭐️🌲🎁
Ingredients
• 3 cups all-purpose flour
• ½ tsp salt
• 1 Tbsp ground ginger
• 2 tsp ground cinnamon
• ¼ tsp ground cloves
• 6 Tbsp unsalted butter, room temperature
• ¾ cup dark brown sugar
• 1 large egg
• ½ cup molasses
• 2 tsp vanilla extract

Glaze
• 1/2 cup icing sugar
•1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1 tablespoon melted butter

Mix & add water for consistency to thin out if needed. Brush on cookies once cooled.

Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, ginger, cinnamon, and cloves. Set aside.
3. In the bowl of a stand mixer, cream the butter and brown sugar just until combined—do not beat until light and fluffy.
4. Add the egg and mix until incorporated.
5. Add the molasses, vanilla. Mix until fully combined.
6. Gradually add the flour mixture and mix until a dough forms.
7. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for 15 minutes to make it easier to handle.
8. Roll the dough on a lightly floured surface to ¼-inch thickness.
• Roll once with a regular rolling pin, then again with an embossed pin if using.
• Cut out shapes on a floured surface.
9. Place cookies on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 8–9 minutes.
