Let’s do an early fall front porch refresh, so fall can have its two weeks before I slowly start turning everything spooky. 🍂

The new addition this year? These amazing faux fall floral mums! They come in packs of 12 individual stems so you can arrange them for the perfect fullness. Who knew a $1.25 Dollar Tree witch hat could look this good?!

This easy DIY makes the perfect fall or Halloween party centerpiece, all you need is a little Mod Podge Stiffy, spray paint, and some faux florals in rich fall tones. Use what you already have around the house!

Here’s how I made it:
1️⃣ Grab a basic witch hat from Dollar Tree (it’s the soft, floppy kind).
2️⃣ Brush on Mod Podge Stiffy to help it keep its shape as it dries. It gave it a little extra shape, but works better on cloth!
3️⃣ Once dry, spray paint the hat black to cover any patterns (unless you can find a solid one).
4️⃣ Hot glue faux florals in a cascading design down one side. I used a mix of oranges, browns, and deep reds for that moody autumn vibe.

It’s so simple, but it looks like something straight out of a boutique Halloween shop!

We haven’t been to the fair in years! I think the last time was before Titus was born in 2017?! 🤯

POV: you can’t let leftover supplies go to waste 👀

After finishing my pumpkin arch garland, I had a few mini pumpkin pails and tinsel garland left over, so obviously I had to make a matching wreath for the front door!

Here’s how I did it:
🧡 I used a large wreath form (mine was from an old 4th of July wreath I took apart).
🧡 Wrapped 3 strands of 9ft tinsel garland from Dollar Tree around the frame until it was full and fluffy.
🧡 Poked small holes in the backs of the mini pumpkin buckets with scissors, threaded zip ties through, and attached them evenly around the wreath.
🧡 The pumpkins were already cut with a hot knife from my garland project, but you could easily do this step too!
🧡 Added LED tealights inside each pumpkin for a spooky glow at night.

It’s the perfect budget-friendly way to use up extra supplies and tie your Halloween decor together! 🕸️

Last year we tried (and failed 😅) to make giant pumpkin arches over our driveway, but the buckets made it way too heavy and it all came tumbling down!

So this year, we reused those same pumpkin buckets but placed them at the base of each light-up arch instead, and it worked perfectly! 🎃🖤

It was way easier, less time-consuming, and still gives that fun, over-the-top holiday vibe we love.

✨ Supplies for Each Arch:
• (3) ¾” x 10 ft PVC pipes
• (2) ¾” PVC-lock couplings
• (1) 300-count multicolor light strand (any color you like!)
• Zip ties to secure lights
• (2) ½” rebar rods cut to 3 ft (hammer about 1 ft into the ground)
• Pumpkin buckets for each side of the archway 🎃

💡 Tip: Stick the rebar into the ground, slide the PVC pipes over the top, connect the couplings, and zip tie the lights on before placing your pumpkin buckets at the base!

We only made 4 of these to keep it simple — they add just enough glow out front without taking away from our spooky décor. 👻 The best part? They’re so easy to make with just a few supplies (all from Home Depot!) and they make a big impact for little effort.

1️⃣ I can only find the orange and black mini pails in stock.
2️⃣ I haven’t seen a softball version yet… so obviously I had to fix that. 😏

Here’s how to make your own softball snack pails (perfect for October ball or team parties):
🥎 Grab the mini pumpkin buckets from Walmart (orange or black works).
🥎Spray with primer + paint the perfect softball yellow.
🥎 Use a black paint pen to fill in the faces.
🥎 Add stitches with a red paint pen.
🥎 Tie ribbon in your team colors for extra spirit.
🥎 Optional: Add player names + numbers to the back for personalization!

An over-the-top pumpkin arch… made with Dollar Tree + Walmart finds 🎃🖤

This project definitely tested my patience (40 garlands + cutting faces out of so many mini pumpkin buckets 😅), but the end result was worth it! It totally feels like we built a homecoming float for our front door.

✨ Supplies:
• Mini pumpkin buckets – Walmart
• Halloween garland – Dollar Tree
• Chicken wire + zip ties + command hooks + LED tea lights

It took some time, but in the end I got the spooky, glowing garland arch I had pictured in my head. The little jack-o-lanterns even light up on timers at night 👻.
