Make blowouts easier with this thermal round brush! This brush is GREAT. I like the Revelon blow out brush, but it’s too much for blowouts. With this heated brush, you can get right up to the root and have a blowout that lasts for days. 💇‍♀️

Yes, even I have my limits on what I’ll spend money on. The Miu Miu counterpart literally made me laugh out loud when I saw the price. $800 for some leather and string? I think not. Paracord is everywhere this season and I can see why. It adds a bit of playfulness that is perfect summer. I found these Sperdy look-a-likes at the beginning of the season! I even made a little video on them. These sandals are comfortable, affordable options if you’re in the same boat as I am. They are completely sold out on the Sperry website, but I did find them at another store online.

Starting off strong with Staud’s Tommy bag. The Tommy is a bag that is infamous amongst fashion fans. I purchased my Tommy at the end of covid when they were still way under $200. pretty soon we saw the introduction of Anthropologie’s Fiona bag. The designs are similar enough to Staud without the copyright infringement. The big difference? About $200 with Tommy coming in at $295 and Fiona at $98.

This has been the best mail week maybe ever with a few brands that have exceeded every expectation that I had. I set the bar high when I meet people as passionate as the women who own these brands. Beth Ladd Collections has become a new go to favorite of mine for beaded jewelry and accessories. Truthfully, I think her prices are too reasonable for the quality craftsmanship that is being put into each item. I see many more items from BLC making their way to my wardrobe

This temporary dip in the weather has me pondering my fall personal for the upcoming season. I think this edit is the closest thing to my closet goals. This post has everything from shrimp cocktail earrings to a skirt from Chicos! Also, Cold Picnic just came out with these embroidered cat pillows that look just like Charlie! Lord have mercy! Someone take my charge card away!

I was in need of an 8x10 rug that didn’t break the bank. This Amazon rug is an 8x10 indoor/outdoor rug that is reminiscent of Schumacher’s Hot House Floral pattern. As far as using it indoors
goes, it’s not tufted, but it would do fine in a laundry room or play room. It’s perfect for the great outdoors!

What is it about a small hand painted trinket box that makes me want to squeal with delight? They are completely useless in terms of functionality. I’m a little scared to put my body out here. I’ve loved fashion and design for all of my life. However, I quickly realized that my body was not represented in the magazines I flipped through at the supermarket. I felt out of place, awkward, and eventually gave up on perusing something I’m passionate about. I’ve had a lot of health related things that happen to me. After twenty-something surgeries, multiple chronic illnesses, and twenty-six years in the medical world, humiliation and degradation to your self esteem are ground down to a point that is hard to comprehend unless you’ve been through it yourself. My hysterectomy was the first surgery where I got to choose what happened to my body. It was freeing in a way that I didn’t anticipate. It made me realize that it’s 2025 and we still don’t see enough of our bodies in the media we consume. So? Today, I did something that I said I would never do: I posted a video of myself in a bathing suit online. After much introspection, I realized it was mostly a fear/rejection thing. Now, I’m not afraid anymore. Anyway, here is my body in a $30 polkadot bathing suit I love. I ate nachos, drank two margaritas, and didn’t think about sucking in my stomach once.
