My first day in Bali was surreal. I felt so many emotions. This wasn’t just a vacation. This was the start of me leaving home for a while and so I was a bit emotional and a bit sad and stressed and scared, but I was also in awe of what I saw around me.

When I say this was a dream come true, I really mean it. For some reason since high school I was super entranced with Bali and it was my dream destination for a while. I didn’t travel much growing up so coming to a tropical place like this always seemed out of reach for me. This is the kind of stuff that I thought only existed in movies and fairytales. But no, places like this are real.
