I do my nails at home because the last time I got my nails done I was super disappointed for the price and I’m also one of those people that cannot live with a chipped nail. I did way too much research than I care to admit and started out doing gel nails almost 8 years ago. Then I moved onto dip powder nails, then builder gel, then gel X, and now I’m back to builder gel on my natural nail length with colored gel for these pretty patterned nails. I think in total I spend less than $30 on the nail files, a new light, builder gel refills, and colored polish sets from @beetlesgelpolish (linked in my LTK and bio) an entire year. Lately I’ve been hearing that a similar manicure at the salon will run you >$50. Anyways, yes I’m frugal, but it’s also worth it. It took a bit of practice getting here, but it’s saved me time and $$.
