When I left Hawai’i a dear, dear friend let me hysterically sob on her floor at 5 AM, helped me pack my entire life up in 2 hours, and drove me around the entire island getting all my ducks in a row because I couldn’t trust myself behind the wheel of a car. I don’t think I would have been able to leave without her help. I’m serious when I say she probably saved my life. 🙇🏻‍♀️💔😩 I’m not tagging her out of privacy and safety concerns but...when you read this...Thank You so so so much. I miss you, your hubby, and your baby boy 🙈 I hope we’ll see each other again soon, whether in Hawai’i or in the mainland. 🕊🕊🕊

The things that both of the stories have in common is that it required young individuals to go against the system, the status quo and to fight with righteous indignation. Micah 6:8 reminds us “He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?” (NKJV)

By all means you can be mad that you still have to fight for basic human rights in 2020. You can let absolute evil win by doing nothing or we can go against everything and allow God to be God. Or you can fight, and give him the opportunity to show you what a powerful and amazing Heavenly Father he really is.
