Honest review of Loro Piana and why I didn’t keep them: I really wanted to love them (a huge designer shoe lover here if there’s the right reason for that) but it didn’t work out! I ordered Loro Pianas alongside with Steve Maddens and I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of SM and for almost $1k i wouldn’t say the luxury brand is offering enough! 1. The Loro Pianas are well made, the stitching is perfect, the detailing is beautiful but when i look at the stitching from the inside they look almost see through which makes me think they wouldn’t last. 2. The Loro Pianas felt too snug on the foot and back to that stitching: I could literally feel them rubbing on the skin. The Steve Madden pair has textile lining which is soft and feels a lot more comfortable! 3. I didn’t really care for the branding “Made for the US market” - what does that even mean? All in all I just didn’t feel that the luxury babouches were actually worth their price and I decided to keep the ones by Steve Madden (which are on sale right now). Best decision I’ve ever made!
