I’ve had this silk slip dress for a while (I got it in 3 colors from Banana Republic in gold, green & black) and it’s been my go-to date night & party outfit base. It’s very easy to style on its own or with various jackets, blazers & sweaters (to dress it down a bit).

Unless “black tie” is specifically requested in the invite you probably don’t want to wear a gown. Unless you do, especially if you already own a gorgeous one, definitely do. For a full length go with a voluminous shirt dress or an a line dress & you can rewear it a million times with different belts and accessories depending on the season and occasion. I wore this Golden Goose 🪿 Resort dress on multiple occasions with heels & flip flops alike, with bear legs & on top of leggings & a bodysuit, it looks stunning: the secret is high quality fabric & the relight attitude.

Trying on 7 for all mankind mini skirt in size 25 & Citizens of humanity pleated mini skirt in size 24. Very similar look, I prefer the color “sandstorm” from 7 for all mankind + it’s easier to adjust with a belt because of the way it’s tailored. Both have a comfy length, both are technically dry clean only (I am actually still tempted to try hand washing this cotton twill, it looks very high quality), both have belt loops. 7 for all mankind runs a bit larger & Citizens of Humanity still runs large, but within the the acceptable margins. What do you think?
