Easy Dinner Idea: Steak and Egg Salad Start by marinating your strip steak in a glass dish with Worcestershire sauce. I keep in fridge until I’m ready to cook (taking out of fridge about a 1/2 hour before ready to cook). I use the egg cooker to hard boil my eggs first. (When they are done, I place them in an ice bath for 10 minutes before peeling.). While eggs are cooking pre-heat the oven to 400 degrees. Next place 1-2 tablespoons of oil (usually grape seed oil - though I used olive oil in the video) Turn heat onto medium heat then sear the steak on each side ( I do 2 minutes per side, then 1 minute per side.) before placing in oven to finish cooking for about 8 minutes. Then let steak rest on cutting board for 10 minutes before slicing. While the steak is in the oven and then resting, chop your veggies, and wash and chop your lettuce ( I like iceberg for this salad but used romaine here because that’s what I had) Assemble your salad with the lettuce, veggies, chopped hard boiled eggs and sliced steak. I like to add salt + pepper and some homemade ranch dressing (I mix a ranch packet according to directions but sub yogurt for mayo) Enjoy! Hair Care Favorites Shampoo: I currently use Kevin Murphy shampoo in Everlasting Colour Wash Conditioner: I currently use Kevin Murphy conditioner in Everlasting Colour Rinse Purple Shampoo: I use the Fanola shampoo about once every two weeks for my blonde hair 6-in-1 Styler: I use this product on towel dried damp hair before combing through my wet hair and to also use for a heat protectant. Hair clips: These alligator clips from Amazon hold my hair in place when I section it to dry or curl it. They come in a pack - I even use them to keep my hair back when cleaning around the house - to keep my hair out of my face without putting crimps in my hair. Dyson Airwrap: I’ve had this airwrap complete kit for almost 3 years and have LOVED it! I got it as a Christmas gift - and use it on my hair weekly. The updated version has an updated version of the hair dryer attachment and it also comes with longer barrels than my older version. This would definitely be a splurge-worthy gift for her! Curling iron: I’ve had this curling iron for over a decade and it’s still going strong. I use the curling barrels on the Dyson when I want the hair curled all the way down the section - but I use this curling iron when I want the bottoms of the pieces to remain straight. Busy Mom Morning Beauty Routine I use different face washes in the AM and PM; my AM face wash has salicylic acid. My skin can be dry so I use a face oil and cerave moisturizer after washing. I use my tinted mineral face sunscreen everyday - it was recommended to me by my dermatologist and I’ve been using it for over a year. I love Jones Road makeup and I use the dark brown eyeshadow to fill in my brows and finish with Tartelette tubing mascara and maracuja juicy lip plump shift lipgloss in shade “Big Ego" I use both the Virtue and Living Proof products for dry shampoo and texturizing spray - just got more of the living proof dry volume texturing spray in the mail (using the one from virtue in the video) - so I’ll link all the ones I use! Mid-Forties Mom nighttime routine I’m a busy mom over 40 who doesn’t have a lot of time to spend on skincare and I don’t want to waste money on unnecessary products. I don’t use a bunch of beauty products and it’s not a fancy or elaborate routine. I focus on cleansing the skin and moisturizing (something important for our mature skin). I start by removing my eye makeup with a lid scrub pad. I make sure to use either a different pad per eye, or use one side of the pad on one eye, and flip it over to use on the other eye. This way you don’t wash mascara and eye makeup all over your face when washing your face. These eyelid scrubs are one of my favorite beauty products - that I don’t hear anyone talking about! They were recommended to me by my eye doctor and I’ve been using them for 7 years! I use a gentle Neutrogena face wash at night since I’m applying my prescription Tretinoin gel after. I like to use Cerave cream and Cerave ointment for my face, lips and hands. I brush my teeth with a child’s toothbrush because I have a small mouth and I like the soft bristles. These also have a suction cup on the bottom of the brush which is convenient for standing up the brush when I’m done. I’ve been using these nose vents for about 3 years to open up my nostrils better. BUNNY CUPCAKES 🐰Here’s an EASY dessert idea for Easter. These bunny cupcakes are so much fun and super easy to make! 🐰First bake your cupcakes and ice them. I used boxed cake mix and iced them as I normally would. 🐰Next gently roll the cupcake icing in coconut flakes to look like bunny fur. 🐰Cut a large marshmallow in half on the diagonal and dip the sticky sides in pink sugar sprinkles. 🐰Place marshmallow “ears” on top of the cupcake.
