Just because someone is blood, or because someone created you, it does not mean they have any special rights to your life, your marriage or your children. If they are toxic or their love is conditional, if they withhold love as a punishment you better believe I’ll cut them off to protect my whole 🌎. It’s not always an easy decision because some days keeping the peace seems easier but I’ll tell you firsthand that behavior did enough damage to me, I won’t let it happen to my kids or seep into my marriage.
