FAQ on the tubes below! ⬇️ This was one of the first things we did when we got the keys because the kids wanted to play and explore up here! The first week they all brought flashlights up there but we needed a longer term solution (we eventually will fix or reinstall track lighting but for now these rope lights work!) Wanted to answer some FAQs here because it comes up every time we talk about the tubes! - a lot of concern on fire safety, (for good reason!) we have had a fireman take a look and by his recommendation, we have a fire safety plan in place, and the kids are only allowed up when they ask first, so we know they are up there, and a parent is close by to monitor who is up there. This is a strict rule. (We really don’t have that problem at least now because they never want us to go far from them :) there is a skylight and a safe exit off the roof is possible in case of an emergency. - there’s only furniture we could really get up there is bean bags or soft play furniture- whatever will fit through the tubes. So that’s the plan when we get to it! -how do we keep them clean? That’s a great question. The tubes have been filled with dust while the house has been under construction and we are finally done and able to get up there and clean them. Stay tuned for how we do that 😂 I HAVE been able to bring up a stick vacuum and vacuum the playrooms up there just fine! - do we lose kids up there? No. Haha. It may look confusing by watching but it’s basically one big loop. -do I get claustrophobic up there? I personally don’t! We’ve actually had a friend who is almost 7 feet tall get up in the tubes just fine! It may look tight but it’s not! Let me know if you have any other questions! LTKmomlife LTKstorytime LTKHome
