I believe art is the most personal layer of a home. It tells a story. It holds memory. And it almost always takes time (and saving) to find the pieces that truly feel like you. If the foundation sets the tone, the finishing layers create the feeling. This is where function meets softness, and where a room shifts from styled to settled. Every choice matters—not for impact, but for balance.

Start with pieces that earn their place.
Here, a bamboo tortoise table between the windows brings utility and quiet texture. A tufted bench adds comfort and an invitation to pause, with the function of a place to get dressed.

Ground the palette underfoot. A patterned rug anchors the room, holding the colors together and softening the space both visually and physically.
