$let’s put a little sparkle on✨ swapped the basic wood knobs for unlacquered brass and suddenly this dresser went from builder-basic to chic. $90 and 20 minutes later, this piece is properly rhinestoned. these knobs are a fraction of the cost of their designer doppelgänger. 12x$7.50 is far more palatable than 12x$22. the unlacquered brass will patina beautifully with age, but without the painfully expensive price tag that usually comes with the look. just need to install art + lighting and this baby girl’s room will officially be complete. stay tuned for the final room edits. 🤍 #homedecor #unlaqueredbrass #brasshardware #rhinestoned #upgrade$

romanticizing coffee at our cowboy bar with a fresh candle and a new vessel to house coffee grounds. little upgrades can make a big impact.🤠

we stopped using plastic k-cups, in an effort to be more health conscious, and started using the stainless k-cups. are they a pain in the ass? yes. do I feel like I’m making minor lifestyle changes that I’ll thank myself for later? also yes. so the extra seconds filling and cleaning them are worth it. plus, it creates a bit more of a ritual since I’m not exactly living my slow pour-over fantasy, but this gives me a moment of calm in the chaos.

in our renovation, the coffee corner of our dry bar was an essential aspect. the appliance garage was something relatively new in residential spaces in 2021, but I can’t stand clutter and my ocd brain would explode if I had to look at a coffee machine everyday.

pro tip: if you’re adding an appliance garage, don’t forget electrical inside the cabinet. my mom just bought a house with one… not wired. yes. not wired. the excitement to hide the coffee maker was short-lived. quick flips and bad contractors love skipping the details, and it shows.
